Federal Budget 2015

Green shoots and optimism were broadly the themes for the 2015-16 Federal Budget. Expansionary in nature, the Budget was handed down to complement an already expansionary monetary policy and ultimately kick-start business investment and consumer spending.

It seems the Government hopes that the green shoots will lay the foundations for economic growth - and lots of it. But to achieve this economic growth, business and consumer confidence must improve. Whether the measures outlined in the Federal Budget achieve this goal remains to be seen.
